How can you add some more style to your IKEA furniture? Well, starting May 27th you’ll be able to add Marimekko! Swedish company Bemz and Marimekko have partnered to create a line of Marimekko slipcovers. This line will feature 11 different Marimekko styles and will be available for over 70 IKEA sofa and chair models!

We spotted these funky throw pillows on a neutral toned couch on the blog, apartmenttherapy.com. We love the idea of mixing different bold prints if you have a solid colored couch. In this photo they used the Marimekko Metsänväki fabric.

We found this great use of Marimekko fabric on Style Carrot. We think it is a clever way to section off rooms, providing privacy for a sleeping area or study nook. Pick a pattern that coordinates with your home décor and you will find that it really revitalizes a room.

This gorgeous ornamental print was created by new Marimekko designer Sanna Annukka. Kanteleen Kutsu depicts a scene from the Finnish classic, The Kalevala, in which animals gather to hear Väinämöinen play his stringed instrument.

The rich detail of this pattern is enhanced by the black and white contrast. Available in upholstery fabric and ready-made products: cosmetic bag, Kauris tote bag, and Karhu tote bag.
