Sanna Annukka Fronts Marimekko 2012 Holiday Prints

Sanna Annuka has been one busy lady designing over half of Marimekko’s holiday prints. Above, a video cataloging her inspiration for the collection she created, as filmed by her beau. The video is tranquil and soothing, showing not only the patterns themselves, but the landscapes and locations that inspired them.

Hauki, Raanu, Vahnakaupunki, and Kultakero are all available at AlwaysMod. What’s great about this batch of patterns is that they complement each other so well, making it easy to mix and match to create your own unique collection of holiday wares. You’re sure to get more joy – and more use!- out of products you hand curate for your kitchen.

Out of the group, what is your favorite pattern? Or what do you see as the most versatile? We can’t help but swoon over the great uses of pink, red and purple in the Kultakero fabric, or the unique way the Vanhakaupunki plate continues and plays with its unique pattern when looking at it upside down.
