Marimekko Frekvenssi Re-Upholstered Chair
Upcycling is a hot new trend that takes an unused and potentially trash-worthy item and turns it into something useful that is equal or greater in value. Personally known for saving many chairs from the back alleyways of my neighborhood, salvaging & re-finishing chairs is one of my favorite pastimes. While perusing the internet I found Nina’s Apartment Blog where a chair was upcycled using Marimekko fabric. A particularly eye-catching project, modern design takes the front seat as this dowdy chair was refinished and re-upholstered with Marimekko’s Frekvenssi Upholstery Fabric. The graphic black and white print perfectly accents the sleek honey colored wood and gives this chair the complete mod makeover. Kudos!
